i'm in the midst of planning a vacation out of the country. life is short. don't you agree? joey and i have denied ourselves for too long! we and we are heading to the yucatan at the end of october in celebration of joey's 4oth birthday (a month or so early). it just so happens we'll be there during dia de los muertos, the day of the dead. we'll be staying in tulum for four nights and then isla mujeres for three nights.
we'll soon be swimming in cenotes, hiking mayan ruins, getting lost in villages, taking a gazillion photos. i see us on the sugar white beach, burying each other in the sand with only an extra long straw to reach our margaritas, a fedora and sunglasses on our heads, and stupid grins on our faces.
