tuesday night bliss

i am one lucky yogi. i've been teaching a yoga class for the last year and a half at the atlanta botanical garden. so i thought i'd take my camera and show it off. this place is like a secret jewel hidden in the city. such a great place to meditate, read a book, or just walk everyday if you live nearby. (they web site is nicely designed too. check out the classes and events. www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org)

for the love of chai

looking at one of my favorite blogs today, shri ganesha tea and book stall (www.souljerky.com), they had a post about a web site devoted to chai, tea and traveling in India. It's really well done and has travelers stories, rich photos documenting everything from the hand painted signage found in the markets, to the rich tapestry of people they've come across along the way and recipes for chai. so if you love chai, india or travel like me check this out:

what could it be?

this is a work in progress. joey and i are participating in a art fundraiser called "skater aid" for the brain tumor foundation. we are taking old skate decks and creating a piece of art from them. they'll be auctioned off at the brick store pub in decatur. skater aid was established in honor of ian woshatz who was 15 when he died of a brain tumor 2 years ago. i also had a good friend die from a brain tumor not too long ago. so it's for a great cause and it's fun. if your in the area the boards will be up from august 31st to september 21st and silent bids will be taken during this time. i'll post more pictures along the way.

when did you first really know you loved yourself for who you are?
(a great question posed by a good friend)
