i'm absolutely in love with the yucatan...with the mayan people, the food, the beaches, the language, the folk art, the slow, laid back lifestyle. i haven't really left it yet. it's in my breath...slow and deep. i still see with the eyes i had there, seeing beauty everywhere, whether i'm looking at a beach full of conch shells and sea glass or the humble dwellings of the locals in the barrios, the dogs that were everywhere, the lush, green jungle. as i get back to work, to the normalcy of life here, to the hustle of the traffic, i still have the vivid energy of the yucatan radiating from me. i'm so grateful...
